ARE U TALKING TO ME?

  Shirts
What type of shirts are the designs printed on?

All designs are printed on Gildan Ultra-Cotton 10.1 oz pre-shrunk cotton t-shirts. When I first tested out what brand of t-shirts I would use, I tried about 5 different brands, and I personally liked the Gildan shirts better. It also helped that they come in like 10,000 colours which can make for some really fun/varied design and colour combinations. My distributor recently started stocking American Apparel t-shirts / ringers and I am aware that some people prefer those type of designs. They are, however, quite a bit more pricey in Canada. If I get enough requests to use this type of shirt, then I may very well start doing runs of them.

What are the specifications of the shirts?

Please check here for shirt sizing. In general I will try and keep sizes Small-2XLarge in Stock. Some shirt colours are available in up to 5XL! Please contact me if you want shirts that are greater than 2XL, and I might buy some for the next run I do.

How are the designs printed?

All shirts are screen-printed to ensure quality and longevity. I use local screen-printers in Vancouver, because I'm too much of a noob to do it properly.

Where are the girls shirts?

Coming soon hopefully! Since I'm a guy I think I'd be pretty darn horrible at picking out the type of shirts you'd like to wear. Here are some examples of girly t-shirts I can easily obtain. If you are a girl, or like wearing girls t-shirts send me an email with what type of shirt you prefer.

Does it cost more for 2XL and above?

Yes it does. Unfortunately it also costs more to ship the larger shirts since they just barely go over Canada Posts minimum weight restrictions. The additional cost will be reflected when you order.

  Ordering
What currency do you accept?

All prices are in US dollars. Although we are a Canadian company, the US dollar is the currency of the internet. Paypal will also allow you to choose the currency of your choice.

What credit card processor do you use?

Vansity currently uses PayPal to handle all transactions. You do not need an account with PayPal in order to pay.

Why are you only using PayPal?

Since it's only me running the site, and I don't have a billion dollars (yet), PayPal was a good option due to its no-monthly fees and low transaction costs. PayPal has been around a long time and I think most people trust them. If you are vehemently opposed to using PayPal and still wish to purchase a t-shirt, please contact me and we can possibly arange another means of payment. If I get enough requests, I may use an additional credit card processor.

Is your site secure?

All the entering of credit card information is handled on PayPal's site. They use all kinds of crazy protection to make sure ninja's don't steal your information. Vansity.com uses SSL to protect you during the portions where you enter your shipping information.

What is your return policy?

Are there any taxes?

If you do not live in Canada you are not paying any taxes for anything you buy off Vansity.com. If you live in BC, unfortunately you have to pay GST and PST on your purchases, but hey we're used to it by now right? If you live in the rest of Canada you are paying either GST or HST.

  Shipping
Got any handy shipping tips?

You bet! Here they are.

Do you ship internationally?

I will ship anywhere that Canada Post lets me, which last time I checked was anywhere.

How long does it take to ship?

This depends on which option you choose. When you checkout you are presented with Canada Post's shipping module which will give you various prices and shipping schedules. If you are in Canada, almost any option will get it to you there within 2-4 days. For US/International you can choose Surface/Air. Canada Post might give you an estimate that says 2-4 weeks, but shipments that I've already sent have taken between 4-7 days. This may change depending on the time of year.

  Company
What does Vansity mean anyways?

Vancity is a "slang" for Vancouver, which is where I have lived all my life. I decided to name my company after it, since when I first started I had a very strong local theme (I have lots of Canadian themed-shirts).

How come you spelt "Vancity" wrong?

If you've ever seen any graffiti people often spell their names differently. There are various reasons why they do it, they can be personal or asthetical reasons behind the decision. Or in the case of online games they might just think that EDWaRD_SCiSSOR_HaNDZ looks "cooler" than Edward Scissor Hands. My reasons? One I liked using an S more than a C in terms of design flow and the S stands for Soul, yeah I'm corny.

How many staff do you have?

That would be me, myself and I. Although my friends/family always throw ideas my way and help me with stuff sometimes. I do all the designing/webpaging/hax0ring/etc.

How long have you been doing this for?

Officially they company has been incorporated since January 29th, 2003. I, however, have been designing stuff for a year or so before that.

  Technical
How come products show in stock but it won't let me add them to my cart?

This is a stupid bug. A product should actually show out of stock, but as long as another colour of the same design has at least one of that size, it doesn't show up as out of stock. Instead, when you try and add an item to your cart you get the following message: "The combination of options you have currently selected is out of stock. Please select another option." Again if you see this message, that size/colour combination is out of stock in the store, and you'll have to request a reprint.
