About Vansity

The story begins with our hero Brock, taking various science courses at the University of British Columbia. Brock used to enjoy science, but had become disenchanted with it part way through his post-secondary career. Brock decided that he did not want to be an organic chemist, and soon started seeking out the easy money as a data entry clerk for the Vancouver Hospital. It was a well paying job, but not particularly exciting. It was then that Brock decided that he would take his great love of graphic design and crazy t-shirts and mix them into one giant ball of excellence. Brock logged many hours at his computer designing weird and often non-sensical type images. The result were some designs that were awesome and some that were perhaps not as awesome. No matter how weird, stupid or tasteless his designs were, Brock loved them all. He tried selling within the lower mainland but found only a few stores willing to buy his particular brand of insanity. He then decided that it was time to forge his destiny in the online arena. Will the international community of interneters approve? Only you can decide.

So you might be wondering whats up with this crazy website I've designed. This year after designing my latest products, I needed an excellent catalogue to put them in. I didn't want to go with the typical functional yet bland flavour that most catalogues have. Ideally I wanted something that people would enjoy reading. Almost immediately I came up with a comic book theme that would really illustrate the designs and the ideas behind them. I was so happy with the catalogue, that in order to better peddle my wares, I redesigned my website with a comic book theme as well. I took some layouts from other t-shirt/clothing/shopping sites around the web that I liked, rolled them into one, and then slapped the comic book theme into it all. I think the sites crazy nature fits in pretty well with the designs that are featured on it. Hopefully when you're browsing around you're also having a good time reading all the insane stuff I came up with. Enjoy.
